Dodge Diesel Trucks, 19 mpg empty, 10 mpg pulling a large trailer, average 15 mpg

The below caclulations are based on running the truck 3000 miles per month:

Truck payment $400
Insurance for one month $110
One oil change (every 3000 miles) 10 quarts, plus filter, $30
1/4 the cost of a tranmission service (service every 12,000 miles) $30
Fuel cost, 3000 miles, 15 MPG Average, $2.29 per gallon $458.00
Tire cost, 50,000 miles life, 6 tires (dually) at $130 each $50
Misc maintinace, lights, rear axle, air and fuel filters, etc, $50 per month

Total cost to drive truck 3000 miles in 30 days......  $1128.00, or 37.6 cents per mile of driving
Add in paying a driver 25 cents per mile to drive (and that is cheep!) bumps you up to $62.6 cents per mile.

And that is one way miles, so I have to double that to pay for the trip to and from ($1.252 per one way mile)
