The TL16 and TL18 Car Trailer

Frame:
Both the tongue and frame of this fine auto hauler is constructed of Structural five inch Structural Channel iron The deck is constructed of two 20" wide Diamond Tread plate steel runners for long trouble free service! The wide diamond plate steel runners give you a wide choice of cars you can haul on this trailer. From tiny imports to full sized sedans, this trailer can take it. With the 36" wide open center, you can even service your car while on the trailer!

Decking:
The ALL STEEL deck measures approximately 82" wide between the fenders, (the trailer is 102" over all width) and 16' or 18' long. Is has another 48" of downward slope "dove tail" which lowers the rear of the trailer down to almost 14  inches, which makes for a easy approach angle for driving up on the deck! . The deck is constructed of top quality Diamond TREAD PLATE steel, Welded to the frame. (if you have been following Steel prices, you know a all steel trailer has become a EXPENSIVE option!)

Features:
 The use of the removable fender design as standard on this trailer makes it a stunningly easy car trailer to load and unload any car on, as you can simply pop the fenders off and load the car without worrying about bumping a fender. BOTH fenders are EASILY REMOVED by simply unhooking the two quick release rubber latches. It gives you all the door clearance you could ever hope for!  It has a top wind jack. It has four large tie down loops welded at each corner for more load tie down options so you can tie your car down with ease! It has two 5' long ramps, for easy loading, and are easily slid into place and locked down with simple but easy to use spring hooks.

Hitch:
The hitch on this trailer a 2 -5/16 ball, Atwood coupler, with a 10,000 pound capacity.  It has two HEAVY 3/8"  plated safety chains with forged lock hasp hooks, BOLTED to the neck (not welded).

Running gear:
The running gear on this trailer actually consist of two 3500 pound capacity leaf spring axles, for a total axle capacity of 7,000 pounds! Be confident that this trailer is over built! It has 5 bolt, 4.5" bolt circle, 15" wheels, and Heavy duty  electric brakes on all wheels. 

Brakes:
It is equipped with heavy duty electric drum brakes on all 4 wheels, and has a emergency Wet Cell Battery with a pull pin type break away switch which will activate the brakes in the event the trailer comes un-coupled from the truck.

Tires:
It is equipped with new 15 inch  ST205-75D15 New trailer tires.  The tires carry a 6 ply rating, load range C, and are mounted on 15",  5 hole White spoke Style Powder Coated wheels.

Ramps:
To allow rolling equipment to be loaded, the trailer has two five foot long ramps that slide under the rear of the trailer. They center store the ramps with spring loaded locks.  The ramps are constructed of Channel iron side rails, with 2 inch angle "rungs", and at five feet long, combined with that 48" dove tail, make for a gradual slope to drive up on! (even for the LOOOW cars)

Paint and finish:
This trailer first prepped with ACID ETCHING to clean the steel, then is primed and painted with High Gloss Dupont enamel  paint. That's right, it is primed and painted underneath, on top, and even where the  deck is welded to the frame. Look at the pictures, this aint no cheap "direct to steel" paint, put on by someone who can't bend at the waist!

Electrical:
Are you tired of hooking up to a trailer, then checks the lights only to discover one in not working?? The wiring and lights installed on this trailer are of top quality!  The front vehicle plug is a "7 way RV type plug" .  All wiring is ran inside conduit, with all wire is sealed with silicone sealer at any point where it enters or exits the conduit, frame, or lights.  The attention to detail on the electrical system is incredible, and should give you years of trouble free service!
